Why charge crystals underneath the Full Moon

Why cleanse and charge your crystals?

It sounds odd and whenever I mention cleansing or recharging your crystals and jewelry, many question how and why??? Well, just like how we take showers to refresh ourselves (physically and energetically), crystals absorb energy from their surroundings and need occasional cleansing to release heavy or stagnant energies and recharge with refreshing, resonant ones. The Full Moon's glow & energy is traditionally used to gently purify and infuse your crystals with renewed energy, enhancing their natural properties & better connecting their energy to yours!! 

How to perform a Full Moon crystal cleanse & charge:

1. Gather your crystals: Collect all your favorite and most-frequented crystals and crystal jewelry.

2. Find a safe spot: Place them where they can bask in the moonlight.

   • Outdoors: If it's safe and dry, set them in a bowl or on a cloth  directly outside.

   • Indoors: A windowsill is perfect if you can't place them outside. Just make sure they’re secure!

   • Safety Note: Always consider the elements. Some crystals (like Selenite, Malachite, or Lapis Lazuli, Black Tourmaline) are sensitive to water and direct sunlight, so moonlight is a gentle and safe option for most.

3. Set your intentions: As you place your crystals, take a moment for reflection.

   • Connect: You can pray, talk to the moon, the universe, your ancestors, or your guides.

   • Release: Ask for whatever you wish to let go of in the coming month. This is a powerful time to shed old patterns, beliefs, or energies that no longer serve you. You can pair this moment with journaling or even (SAFELY) burning a piece of paper of what you’re releasing.

   • Receive: Visualize your crystals absorbing the moon's purifying and invigorating energy, preparing them to support your journey ahead.

This ritual offers a beautiful energetic refresh for both you and your crystals, helping you hopefully to feel lighter, clearer, and more aligned.
