The Girl Behind the Craft
Solares Gems is the vision of Esperanza Solar, a Miami native born to beautiful Cuban parents.
As a curious Gemini Sun and gentle-hearted Pisces Moon, I have always been captivated by beautiful things and the esoteric world. For over 12 years, I have dedicated myself to the study of metaphysics, immersing myself in topics like philosophy, astrology, human design, wellness, and a wide array of spiritual modalities and crystals.
This deep commitment to holistic understanding propelled me to work in several metaphysical and jewelry stores across South Florida and Oregon. These invaluable, hands-on experiences refined both my personal practice and my professional approach, ultimately inspiring the creation of my own line of jewelry—intentionally handcrafted and infused with purpose, meaning, and energetic intent.
The Birth of Solares Gems
The concept for Solares Gems came in 2020 after I crafted a few custom birthday bracelets for my Mami. Her reaction, along with my desire to design beautiful pieces that feel fitting on the body & to include things I have carried from my youth like los Mal de Ojo charms & bracelets and crystal jewelry, served as primary catalysts and inspiration to bring this venture to life. Though I never initially believed creativity was my forte, I quickly discovered a deep, undeniable passion for jewelry making.
What began 6 years ago with raw crystals, wire, resin, and dried flowers—has since evolved. Today, my focus is on creating finer, tarnish-resistant pieces that are both elevated in quality and deeply soulful in design.
Why Jewelry is Sacred to Me
For me, jewelry has always been inherently divine and magical. It is more than an accessory; it is adornment, spiritual protection, and a powerful talisman. I have always loved las "gangarrias", as my Cuban Mami would tell me. A piece of jewelry can be a profound reminder of self-adoration, a promise of love, or a cherished heirloom. It serves not just as a beautiful embellishment, but as a shield, a commitment, and a constant, personal reminder of intention.
Every piece is crafted by my hands and sent to yours with the most loving, Reiki-infused and protective intentions.
I invite you to connect with your piece's energy by sitting with it before the first wear. Hold it within your palms and think or whisper a loving prayer or intention for it, for you. Furthermore, I encourage you to energetically cleanse it whenever it calls to you. This can be done through the Sun's rays, the full or New Moon, charging it out in nature, your favorite incense, ethically sourced and used Sage or Palo Santo (we encourage you to do your research on both as they are typically used by Native and Indigenous people & ask to be used ethically and intentionally), or—depending on the hardness of the stone—using water, salt water, or Florida Water to cleanse its energies and rid it of anything that may no longer serve you.
